Cabinet orders crackdown on crime in Johor Baru

    By Tiuniasing | June 21, 2007

The recent spate of violent crimes in JB is nothing new to most of you. Fortunately the government seem to be very concerned about this issue and several actions have been taken. According to The Star Online today:-

Four hundred more cops in the streets, RM6mil for three new temporary district police headquarters and 200 more police vehicles for patrolling – these are among the measures approved by the Cabinet yesterday to clean up Johor Baru after the recent spate of violent crimes there.

In the context, it says that there are 400 policemen from the General Operation Force and Federal Reserve Unit will be deployed there, according to Najib, who is also Defence Minister.

When I knew about more policemen will be deployed in JB, there was only one thing that crossed my mind - MORE CORRUPTIONS IN JB. Will you not agree with me?? I have had too much experience with the policemen asking for duit kopi or allowance pertolongan from me.

During Ops Sikap season, I didn’t give it a damn and I continued to drive beyond the speed limit, in between 160km/h and 200km/h. Consequently, I got stopped by the cops many times in the roadblocks. Some of them offered ‘help’, but I had to ‘help’ them in return. Some of them wanted some money for enjoying a cup of latte at kopitiam. Some threatened me that my driving license will be suspended if they issued me a speeding ticket - I diu this sohai also lazy. I told him to fuck off.

When I lodged a report in the police station, the officers there offered help also. They said with some money, the report can be ready by that day itself. Otherwise, I will have to go to the police stations again the next two days for the report. Last 2 months, my car was hit by a bus when I parked by the roadside for dinner. The bus driver already admitted that he was wrong. But then the lanjiao sergeant kept saying I am wrong for parking my car by the roadside. Mahai, the so-called roadside is actually in front of a linked single storey house in a residential area. Like that also he said he has to issue a summon to me. Click here to read the full story.

Everytime I  deal the the policemen, surely they would ask for money from me, be it for ‘charity’ or their ‘latte’. By the way, I surfed around for similar topic and I got 2 video clips. Let’s enjoy how our cops ask for help from us:-
