Negarakuku or Negaraku Ku??
By Tiuniasing | August 24, 2007
I know, this is not a new issue anymore but who cares. My boss just came in and passed me a CD-R containing two file, a VLC media player setup file and a Negaraku Ku data file. He thought the disc can be played in a VCD player. He asked me to teach him to open the file, and duplicate a few copies of it as he wants to distribute it to his friends for sharing. It sounds as if sharing wives. Hahaa…
A friend of mine told me that the government can never think with a brain. He said Meng Zhee made this song, and amazingly this song can go so popular in a night, and Meng Zhee, the author cum singer cum actor of this song or MTV is already a superstar today. He said the government never go and find out the reason why this song can be so popular. He continued and said some ministers stood out and barked like anjing only.
I had a deep thought after hearing what he said. I find what he says is quite true also. In my opinion, the problem is not with the song, but the society. I think the reason why the song can go so popular is, it has revealed the truth which we dare not to speak it out all this while. Now Meng Zhee tried to break the ice and he’s in trouble. This is something we do not want to get involved in, that’s why we kept out mouth shut all this while.
Sometimes the government like to fix something which is not wrong. Negaraku Ku is one, and another one is the common law of the country. Someone proposed to make a switch to use Syariah law from English common law. It is like indirectly telling us that our current law has got weaknesses, that’s why we want to make a switch. Correct or not?? But as a non-muslim that I am, I don’t see any problem with the current situation. If they want to make a switch just for fun, then better don’t switch lah. It’s wasting we citizens money only. We pay tax every year not asking the government to fix something like that.
We pay tax because we want the government to fix the flaws; We want the government to sapu corruption; We want the government to increase the number of GOOD cops but not the BAD cops; We want the government to give us peaceful life and not debates on switching from English common law to Syariah law; We want the the government to tell us that we don’t have to pay so much of taxes because the country is making money from the natural resources such as petroleum and plantation. But they never give us all this. To my surprise they want to switch from English common law to syariah just because they like it.
MAHAI!! I must play Negaraku Ku over and over again. Please support my sponsor.

Wah liao… lengjai… dun so emo ler… weekend is here
wtf syariah law.. im so getting out of this cunt-ry.
Government damn fucking stupid lar!!!!
looks like more and more ppl are becoming more… “engaged” in this… it can only be good.
why they wanna change the common law to syariah law? sam jiu la…
anyway, the big boss is the president of the OIC… that’s probably the reason why they have to ‘appear’ to be an islamic country internationally but have to shut us up with secular propaganda.
syariah law…. tiunia bin sing…. how about that?
Yeah, way to go. I’d hate to insult anyone but, Syariah laws? Can we get a lawyer or something here that could tell us the difference between Syariah & English law. Besides one being absolutely outdated and wouldn’t fit in today’s common society.
We also pay taxes so that our children can enjoy better teaching facilities, including better qualified passionate teaching staffs, in the Country, without having to resort to fighting for the limited seats in the International and expensive Private Schools. Till today, they are still debating whether the Maths and Science should be taught in English or not. The hell!! Just because of their indecisiveness, my 7 yr old has to learn Maths and Science in BOTH Chinese AND English!!! Make up your minds already!!!
spend time on useless things -_-

Ting Tit Lei,

pookyma,
watch out your words, dude!!
zewt,
I think Niasing bin Tiu sounds better!!
Jonny,
the difference?? The most significant change is, all the lawyes must pray 5 times a day.
TBG,
it looks like they are pushing us by teaching Maths in both English and Chinese. For me, it’s actually benefiting our new generation by teaching them an additional language, which is the internation language as well.
One of the most recent news is, the employers are advised not to put up job vacancy advertisements with a prerequisite for candidates who speak Chinese.
That’s the reason why our country fail to compete with Singapore. Singapore government would definitely advise their citizens to learn more so that they can be competitive. But our government ask the public to cut off some of the requirements and reduce the standard and competitiveness in order to ’survive’.
I believe this is the main reason why Proton still needs special treatment from the government. They just can’t survive in a competitive world!!
mochii,
yeah. They should have spent time on learning Chinese instead of asking the employers not to put up job vacancy advertisements with a prerequisite for candidates who speak Chinese.
huei,
so, are you a Malaysian?? Hahaa…
[…] above statement is actually my reply to the commentors who dropped their comments in Negarakuku or Negaraku Ku. While replying the comments, it brought me to think more about the government policy and I really […]
I am out of here if they ever install the Hukum Hudud.
