    China Cellphone Boleh!!

    By Tiuniasing | April 2, 2008

    This morning, as usual I went for breakfast with my colleagues. All of them are some senior staff in the company, managerial level employees. I, the youngest among them, am always their solution to gadgets. Anyone of them who have bought something new but failed to operate it, I am the one they will look for then.

    Recently, they are into China cellphones. Three of them have bought it but with different brands and models. It costs them a few hundred each. With the few hundred ringgit spent, they are able to receive free TV channels such as RTM1, RTM2, TV3, NTV7, 8TV and so on; They have touch screen equipped with a stylus already; One of it has the latest funchtion by Sony Ericsson which you can choose the next song by shanking the phone when you are listening to MP3; 2 sim-card-slots and so on.

    They are so fucking proud with their new gadgets, and keep showing off everytime we go out for breakfast. Ah Yeong, his cellphone can receive TV channels, didn’t know how to turn the TV on. He said this in the first time showing his cellphone:-

    Yeong :: “I tell you all, now China is damn powerful already. Their technology is beyond all the other western countries. You look at my handphone, China product, but I can receive TV channels. Ging chow or not?? Sony Ericsson and Nokia also can’t do that. Maybe Samsung can but not in the market yet.”
    The rest of them :: “Wahh… You have one ah??”
    Yeong :: “Yeah la. Nahhh…”
    The rest of them :: “Wow, very nice. But how to see TV one??”
    Yeong :: “Ehh… This one I also don’t know. hehee… But the salesman showed me the other day, very fucking clear one. Ah Tiu, you have any idea??”
    Tiuniasing :: “Let me try.”

    After 30 seconds:-

    Tiuniasing :: “Done.”
    The rest of them :: “Wahh… Ah Tiu, you’re the man, you’re our god. Hahaa… Wahhh, really can see TV wor, very clear hor. Next time we can see TV in office already. But the screen damn small la. They can’t make it bigger meh?? Screen too small is damn fucking difficult to see lah.”
    Yeong :: “Aiyah, nevermind lah. Yours can see or not?? Cannot right?? Just live with the small screen and get done okay?? China Boleh!!”

    Then followed by Lim, the manager this time:-

    Lim :: “Tiu, mine one got stylus but I don’t know how to use it.”
    Tiuniasing :: “Just go to Compose SMS or Message and start writing your message, that’s it.”
    Lim :: “I tried, but I can’t write with the pen.”
    Tiuniasing :: “Let me try.”

    Then:-

    Tiuniasing :: “Ohh… You have to change the input method to handwriting. Here you go, write as much as you want now until your hands feel tired about it.”
    Lim :: “Ohh.. Wow, so canggih, really can write one. China Boleh!!”

    Next, Onn’s turn:-

    Onn :: “I also got one. Mine one is damn IN also. When I am listening to MP3 and I want to skip to next song, all I need to do is to shake the phone only. Let me show you all.”

    Then he shook his phone a few times, to prove that the shake-and-next is really working. As far as I concern, this isn’t someting new. I think I have seen this in Sony Ericsson if I am not mistaken. But this is not the issue. The problem is, China cellphones are not my cup of tea. The design, the user-friendliness, the precision of the stylus points, all are not up to standard at all. Seriously, I have no favor to China products, especially the China brands. I can accept a Nokia made in China, but I can’t accept a China brand cellphone be it made in China or outside China.

    After that, I told them that there were many cases that China brand cellphone exploded when charging or answering calls. I warned them not to keep their new baby in the pockets because I do not want to see their heart or testicles have been exploded by the China cellphone. I think they feel scared after hearing what I said. Good for them.
